This Loraine Landsberry Award winning original play written by my colleague, John Adekoje. John was pursuing an MFA in Film Production at HSU while I was in the midst my MFA program. John is a very talented writer from Nigeria. He wanted to write a play that felt like the storytelling traditions of the Griot from that region of Africa.

This ritual/play follows the experiences of the Streethawker who finds herself navigating the world of greed, religion and materialism. This play is filled with ritualistic overtones and makes comment on the evils of western capitalism.
